a day with a graffiti artist

Luthfi aka ‘The Killer Gerbil’. Most of us have read or came across his work. Be it on the streets, at festivals or even at events. We may have marveled at the pieces of arts, the way he ‘beautifies’ an abandoned place. But I’m sure not many have ever thought about the work involved.

On 13th Feb 2008, I was invited to spend a whole day with him during one of his assignments. It was amazing to have this opportunity to witness the whole process, hardwork and the fun involved rather than just admiring the art itself.

A friend did say this after he saw these photos,
‘the process and hardwork is part of the art bro. ~ sam aka fartsomeart’

first up, loading the 'ammo'..

starting up..

it's not merely spontaneous actions, thoughts were needed..

not an easy job with uneven surfaces..

he's still at it..

sometimes, friends do come for support.. on this day, they did.

... and he appreciates their support, let them have a little fun as well.

and now.. the magical finishing touches to the famous 'Killer Gerbil'

soon.. he'll have fans of all ages.

'yoz.' - The Killer Gerbil

farewell guys, thanks for the support.

lomo-love from Luthfi (The Killer Gerbil).
